Rotary Club meets with City Management

Members of the Cameron Rotary Club met with City Management recently to work on a proposed covered fishing deck for Sunrise Lake.  The Rotary Club has been working with the City of Cameron for nearly a year to provide a safe place for disabled people to enjoy fishing.  With a Veteran’s Home in our town and the beautiful improvements that have been made to Sunrise Lake, the idea was to make an easily accessible place for wheel chairs to roll right up to the edge of the lake and fish.  The location will be near the spill-way next to the new walking bridge and right next to the walking trail.  The Club was recently awarded a grant from the Rotary District to enable it to complete the project.  More information will be given as the details are finalized.
