Saddle Club Series Awards

Sunday, August 26 was the last show in the Saddle Club’s Fun in the Sun Series.. The typical five show series had to be condensed into four segments due to extreme heat and a rain out. Contestants had to compete in at least three shows and had the option to run twice in whichever show they chose to make up the fifth show.

The event started as an effort to bring the equestrian community together to have fun and provide a purpose to improving skills. As I heard one proud parent say to another after the awards ceremony, “I saw my daughter improve in riding abilities this summer. Because of this show, she was motivated to practice.” Turning to look I saw a group of young girls proudly each other their trophies and recounting their runs to their friends.

Each event, in each division, had ribbon for the top three runs of that show. The top three places in each event for each division of the series received a trophy. The top runner in the Adult, Teen, Youth, and Pee Wee divisions received a buckle to commemorate their accomplishment.
