COVID-19 Update from the Mayor (3/25/20)

The City plans to keep citizens informed of new developments surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak. Citizens are being encouraged to follow the City website and Facebook page for daily updates.

**CURRENT UPDATE**

To: The Residents of the City of Cameron

There is not a lot of new information to report on today so this update will recap some of the information from the last few days.

If you are able, please stay at home as much as possible. Limit your visits to stores and businesses for necessities only.

If you have to get out of the house, remember that the Cameron Parks remain open and you are encouraged to use them. Here are the guidelines of the Cameron Park Board for utilizing the Parks during the COVID-19 situation.

  • Please prepare for no public access to restroom facilities at the parks as they are currently closed.

  • Do not use playground structures at this time.

  • Refrain from using parks or trails if you are ill or exhibiting symptoms.

  • Follow the CDCs guidelines for personal hygiene prior to your use of parks or trails.

  • Maintain social distancing with other park users of at least six feet and abstain from social gatherings of more than ten people.

  • Refrain from using picnic tables and shelters.

Again, don’t hesitate to contact City Hall at (816) 632-2177 if you have questions or concerns. There is also a wealth of information available on the City’s website (www.cameronmo.com) including contact information for various departments within the City. We remind you that City Hall’s lobby remains closed but the drive-thru window is open for business during normal business hours.

Sincerely,

Darlene Breckenridge, Mayor
