Covid-19 Update from the Mayor 4-02-20
**CURRENT UPDATE**
To: The Residents of the City of Cameron
There are three things that I would like to update the public about today.
The first thing is that I am notifying everyone that the License Office has shortened their hours. They are now open from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily, and 9 a.m. to noon on the first and last Saturday of the month. That message is also recorded on their automated voicemail so you may call them at (816) 632-4830.
The second thing is that due to the COVID-19 situation, the City Council meeting on Monday, April 6th will be conducted by video conference, the public may join that meeting via computer or by phone at:
https://us04web.zoom.us/j/532897378
Meeting ID: 532 897 378
or
1-312-626-6799
Meeting ID: 532 897 378
This complies with the open meeting law as well as the order from the Clinton County Health Department. We welcome the public to join us using this new system as this may continue for some time in the future.
Third, I want to point out that the Council will consider an ordinance at the Monday meeting declaring a State of Emergency in the City of Cameron as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The immediate effect of this ordinance should Council pass it, will be to make the order of the Clinton County Health Department enforceable in all parts of the City regardless of what county that part is in.
Thank you very much for your continued help in complying with these directives.
Should you have any questions, please contact us at City Hall (816) 632-2177.
Sincerely,
Darlene Breckenridge, Mayor
