Covid-19 Update from the Mayor 4-23-20
The City plans to keep citizens informed of new developments surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak. Citizens are being encouraged to follow the City website and Facebook page for daily updates.
**CURRENT UPDATE** April 23, 2020
To: The Residents of the City of Cameron
We appreciate that our positive COVID-19 numbers are low with no deaths in our counties. As you can see from the attached chart that we’ve had no new cases in the last seven days which is good news. Even though our numbers have stabilized this week, we will continue to follow the Clinton County Health Department guidelines. The Governor’s “Stay at Home Missouri” Order still requires us to practice social distancing through May 3rd. I will have another conference call with the Governor next week and we will look at how we may begin to lift some restrictions after that discussion.
Yesterday we mentioned Packard Cemetery as an alternate location from the parks and trails where you can also enjoy some Cameron history. We also have Evergreen, Graceland and Graceland Memorial Cemeteries. Click on the following link to get more information on our cemeteries which include a Historic Figure Scavenger Hunt and Packard Cemetery Walking Tour. http://www.cameronmo.com/73/Cemeteries
Once again, a huge thank you to all of our citizens and businesses in taking part of keeping our numbers low. Please contact us at City Hall if you have any questions or concerns (816) 632-2177.
Sincerely,
Darlene Breckenridge, Mayor
