Dragons riding win streak ahead of Chilli tourney
BETHANY — The Cameron High School Dragon Baseball Team hopes to keep its momentum going into the upcoming tournament in Chillicothe after taking three of their last four games.
After trouncing their previous two opponents by a 27-2 margin, Cameron coach Justin Simpson said his players finally hit their stride and hopes to pull his team up to a .500 record by the tournament’s end.
“[Tuesday] we came out and played aggressive baseball ... These boys hit their stride early. It was what we’ve been looking for all season,” Cameron coach Justin Simpson said. “They had a plan. That’s something we didn’t have at the beginning of the season. Now they have a plan and it’s starting to pay off for us with quality at-bats.”
