Cameronite turns 102 years old

A story was shared that one day Miriam was driving her car and thought to herself, “I'm 93 years old. I don't have any business driving”. She hasn't driven for the past 9 years

Miriam Hahn of Cameron celebrated her 102nd birthday at a reception at St. Pat's Manor on Sunday, November 17th. Her actual birthday was on the 14th.

 

       A large number of friends and relatives gathered to share in this milestone celebration, enjoying refreshments and sharing stories and congratulatory messages.

 

      Miriam was a graduate of the Cameron school system, and the wife of Charles Hahn, now deceased. They had two children, also deceased.

 

       She worked as Executive Secretary to the President of Cameron Savings and Loan, and also served as a volunteer in the Cameron School System.

 

        Miriam is a member of the First Christian Church of Cameron, where she had volunteered in the church library. When she moved to St. Pat's Manor, she took over responsibility for their resident library.

 

        A story was shared that one day Miriam was driving her car and thought to herself, “I'm 93 years old. I don't have any business driving”. She hasn't driven for the past 9 years. Miriam is still alert and said she would see everyone “next year”.
