Hamilton Achievers 4-H Club News

The Hamilton Achievers held their January meeting on January 27 at the Hamilton Federated Church. Losson Park called the meeting to order. Ledger Grooms and Grason Park were the pledge volunteers. Rollcall was answered to “What personal service project did you preform since our last meeting?” We need our 2019 manual roster updated. We discussed a committee to update our bylaws.

The Clinton County Extension Office has moved to Cameron from Plattsburg. The new address is 607 Lana Drive; Suite A and their phone number is 816-933-2138.

Council Representatives Aidan Anderson and Murphy Park are still selling 911 signs.

We are excited to learn that we have two volunteers to lead out shooting group in Caldwell County after they get their certifications in March. Both archery and rifle options will be offered. We also need volunteers and leaders for other projects so if you would like to volunteer, please check out our website at http//4h.missouri.edu. There is a new screening process for 2019.

Please bring your photos of 4-H meetings, shows, and any 4-H related activities and a recent school picture to our next meeting. These photos will be used in the newspapers and in our 2018-2019 scrapbooks.

SQMA training needs to be done by anyone showing livestock. This can be done online and must be done by all members under the age of 14 for two consecutive years and once for anyone over the age of 14.

Members are encouraged to sign up for the “4-H MOVE ACROSS AMERICA” on the 4-H website. Participants will keep a log of the minutes they accumulate throughout the year in physical fitness activities.

We would like to extend our sympathy to the family and friends of James Robert “Bob” Teegarden, of Braymer. Bob was the 4-H youth specialist for over 30 years. He taught leathercraft at 4-H Camp as well as being the DJ for the dances and calling the square dances. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
