Osborn’s NHS Inducts Six New Members
On April 8, Osborn High School’s Phillip Plummer Chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) inducted six new members. Qualifications to join this society are rigorous, and not very many students are inducted each year. Students who wish to join must have a GPA of at least 3.67 and demonstrate the four aims of the organization as students. The aims are leadership, character, service, and scholarship.
The inductees were sophomore Olivia Dierenfeldt, sophomore Ryann Patterson, sophomore Erica Wiederholt, junior Denny Hankins, junior Jaydin Lundy, and senior Emma Hall. After the ceremony, the new members and their families were invited to a celebration of the event which included cake and punch. NHS advisor Mindy Matter said, “I’m proud to see that so many students are taking scholarship seriously. I’m really excited to have so many new members. I can’t wait to see what our organization does next year.”
