Cameron resident injured in auto accident

A Cameron woman suffered serious injuries in a one-vehicle accident in DeKalb County Wednesday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 49-year-old Lynette Harrison was transported by Cameron Ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center and later transported by LifeFlight Eagle helicopter to the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City.

The patrol reports the accident occurred at 2:03 p.m. on U.S. Highway 36 at Locust Road, four miles west of Cameron.

Harrison was driving a 2015 Dodge Journey westbound on U.S. 36 when the vehicle went off the left side of the road, struck a crossover and became airborne. The vehicle came to rest in the median facing south.

The Cameron Fire Department assisted at the scene.
