Clinton County blocks wind turbines

The room was full on September 1 for the Clinton County Planning and Zoning Commission meeting. Residents of both Clinton and DeKalb counties were on hand to speak during the public hearing portion of the meeting with the consensus of the opinions being that IF wind turbines were allowed in Clinton County, the set backs should be far more than proposed by NextEra. Many of the speakers quoted NextEra’s early statements about wanting to “be a good neighbor” and expressed their opinions that NextEra had been anything but a good neighbor to the residents of DeKalb county, where wind turbine farms are currently being erected.
