First Responders Luncheon

The Cameran Veterans Home Assistance League hosted an appreciation luncheon for first responders on Wednesday September 7 in the chapel at the veterans home. Guests included Cameron Police Department, Highway Patrol, Cameron Fire Department, Clinton County Sheriff Department and Cameron Ambulance Service.

The Cameron Veterans Home Assistance League is composed of individuals many of whom served in the military that provide resources for veteran residents at the home that enhances the quality of life in many ways including transportation, entertainment outings to events and special in house activities. Since veterans have a deep appreciation and support first responders as they serve their communities and face challenging circumstances the Assistance League wanted to show both  their gratitude for their service and also allow veteran residents the opportunity to meet these individuals.

The event was enjoyed by all....especially watching the smiles from veteran residents that shook the hands of the first responder guests.
