Local man charged after police standoff
On Friday July 15, Scott Adkison was involved in a stand off at his residence with police, after police responded to a report of a suicidal subject in the 4200 block of Summit Road. According to DeKalb County Sheriff, Wes Raines, Adkison fires shots directed toward members of the Cameron Police Department, who had responded to assist.
After Adkison was taken into custody, a search warrant was served on his residence and a crystal like substance was discovered that was confirmed to be methamphetamine. Adkison is currently being held on $20,000 cash only bond in the Daviess DeKalb Regional Jail.
