Missouri State Parks celebrate 100 years with Centennial Passport
This year, Missouri State Parks celebrate their 100th anniversary. The park system was officially established on April 9, 1917 and since then, the system has grown to include 88 state parks and historic sites throughout the state.
As part of the celebration, Missouri State Parks is encouraging residents to get a Centennial Passport and head “out on an adventure.”
The Centennial Passport is a spiral bound book with colorful pages including pictures and information for every state park and historic site. There are maps of where to find the sites and parks and a legend for each park to show what facilities are available. Each park has its own stamp to apply to the book.
All the official rules of both passport programs and additional information on where to find the stamping stations at all the state parks is available on the Mo State Parks website - https://mostateparks.com/passport.
