Dr. Renee J. Murphy 1955 - 2017
Coral Springs, Fla. - Dr. Renee J. Murphy, 62, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2017. She was born in Minneapolis, Minn. to Richard and Thelma Murphy, and grew up in Winona, Minn., graduating from Winona High School.
She attended medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, and graduated in 1994. She went on to practice as an internal medicine doctor in Cameron for over 20 years, where she became an integral part of that community. In 2016, she moved to Coral Springs to enjoy the Fla. weather, and worked at Care Spot in Coconut Creek, where she was a valued member of that facility.
Her family was the most important focus of Renee’s life, and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed many crafts, especially with her grandchildren, along with creating amazing gatherings for her family, and occasionally watching Fox News.
Renee is survived by her fiancé, Jon Lewallen, along with her children: Jessica Testa (husband Jeffrey and children Abigail, Nathaniel, and Caleigh), John Fanning (children Addison and Aiden), Ashley Bracke, and Brittany Bracke. Renee was preceded in death by her father, Richard Murphy and her mother, Thelma Murphy.

Donations may be sent to a fund at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital that has been established in her honor.
