Garold Lee Scobee 1951 – 2016
Unionville - Garold Lee Scobee passed away at the University Hospital in Columbia MO on June 18, 2016
Garold was born on October 5, 1951 in Green Castle to Harold Scobee and Shirley Muir Thompson.
He married Garnet (Baldwin) Scobee on November 26, 1992 in Unionville.
Garold started working for North Central Missouri Electric in 1972. For the last 11 1⁄2 years he served as CEO and General Manager. He was active with the board of AMEC and NW Electric coops He was active on the Green Castle Cemetery Board, was in the Masonic Lodge and was an avid Shriner.
Survivors include: his wife, Garnet Scobee of the home; children, Gail (Tanya) Scobee of Cameron, Zachary (Jennifer) Stout of Unionville, Danyle (Jeremy) Riley of Clever, Caleb Stout of Unionville, Susan Scobee of Green Castle, and Sandra (Kevin) McPike of Maysville. Garold also leaves behind Garnet’s parents, Howard and Glennis Baldwin of Unionville, two brothers, Harold Scobee of Ariz., Darrell Scobee of Green City, and one sister, Judy Deatherage of Cali., 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death is his Dad, Harold “Bud” Scobee, mother, Shirley Muir Thompson, and a grandson, Elijah Scobee.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Rushmeier Funeral Home in Green City. Internment will be held at Green Castle Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Green Castle Cemetery, Green Castle Lions, or CMA Run for the Son
