Geraldine V. Sorensen 1930-2016
O’FALLON - Geraldine “Gerry” Viola Sorensen, 85, O’Fallon formerly of Cameron, Missouri passed away on February 9, 2016.
Gerry was born on October 13, 1930 in Farmington, Missouri to Clarence Earl “C.E.” and Viola Theresa (Harter) Wade.
She was a member of Cameron United Methodist Church.
On November 29, 1952, Gerry married Soren Peter “Pete” Sorensen II in Farmington, Mo. Gerry was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Pete; son, Jeffrey; granddaughter, Madelyn Dyson and brother, Clarence Wade.
Survivors: three sons, S.P. “Chip” (Mary Beth) Sorensen III, Burnsville, Minnesota, Lincoln (Nancy) Sorensen, St. Louis, Mo., Mike (Carolyn) Sorensen, St. Louis, Mo.; two daughters, Greta (Kurt) Schumacher, Southlake, Texas and Barbara (David) Ness, O’Fallon, Mo.; daughter-in-law, Sarah (Marty) McCambridge, Lee’s Summit, Mo.; two brothers, Leroy and Donald Wade, Farmington, Mo.; sister, Barbara Cornelison, Naperville, Illinois; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services: 2 p.m., Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Cameron United Methodist Church. Visitation: 7-9 p.m., Friday at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to MD Anderson Cancer Center and Lymphoma and Leukemia Society. Inurnment at a later date in Graceland Memorial Cemetery, Cameron.
