James J. Mallen 1940-2017

 

Cameron - James “Jamie” J. Mallen, 76, passed away on September 21, 2017.

James was born November 12, 1940 in Cameron to Patrick and Pauline (McWilliams) Mallen.

James was a 1959 graduate of Cameron High School.

He was a member of St. Munchin Catholic Church, Cameron.

James worked for the United States Postal Services as a carrier, before retiring. He also farmed for many years, raising pigs and cattle.

On January 7, 1961, James married Lois Doak in Cameron.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lois and brother, John; two sisters, Regina Graham and Mary Marnett.

Survivors include three sons, Scott (Tammy Barcome) Mallen; Mark (Lauri Stice) Mallen, all of Cameron; Matt (Megan Sigrist) Mallen, Kansas City; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, September 25, 2017 at St. Munchin Catholic Church, Cameron. Rosary will be held at  5 p.m., with visitation 5:30-7:30 p.m., Sunday evening at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron. Burial will be held at St. Munchin Catholic Cemetery, Cameron. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Munchin Catholic Church.
