Joe L. Jones 1932-2022

CAMERON - Joe Leonard Wesley Jones, 90, passed away September 23, 2022.

He was born January 20, 1932 in Cameron, Missouri, son of the late Leonard and Lorene (Lohman) Jones. He graduated from Cameron High School in 1950.

Joe joined the United States Army and was stationed in Germany with the Military Police during the Korean War. Upon returning home, he worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation until retiring.

Preceding him in death: his parents; and brother, Emory Lee Jones.

Survivors: wife, Donna, of the home; sons, Denzil (Judith) Jones, Excelsior Springs, Missouri and Lonnie (Nancy) Jones, Cameron, Missouri;  sisters, Grace Daniels, Cameron, Missouri and Carolyn Hill, Norwalk, Iowa; step-children, Louie (Deana) Seitz, Rhonda (Mike) Gienapp, Paul Parsons, all of Cameron, Missouri and Melissa (Jason) Phillips, Maysville, Missouri; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services: 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at the Poland-Thompson Funeral Home. Visitation 1-2 PM, one hour prior to the service.

Burial in Cameron Memory Gardens Cemetery.
