Marion D. Lloyd 1952 – 2017

 

Marion Lloyd passed from this life on Jan. 11, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

 

Marion was born March 12, 1952 near Plattsburg. He was joyfully adopted by Forrest and Dorthy (Bozarth) Lloyd when he was 2 years old. His parents were dearly loved by him and proceeded him in death.

 

Marion was a life-long resident of Cameron and shared many loving memories of his family, friends and community. He was employed by local lumberyards and also enjoyed buying, remodeling and selling many home throughout his life. Before his retirement in 2010, Marion was employed by the City of Cameron as the foreman of the Work Release Program in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Corrections.

 

He took exceptional pride in the beautification projects that were completed throughout the city.

 

Marion loved classic cars and owned several. Car shows and gathering with his friends were a constant part of his life.

 

Marion is survived by his children, Kim Way and Travis Lloyd. He adored his grandchildren, Zach Way, Kaelyn Way and Jacob Lloyd. He is also survived by his long-time partner, Cindy Story, of the home.

 

We will have a celebration of life gathering from 1 – 3 p.m. on Jan. 28, 2017 at the Cameron Elks Lodge. In lieu of flowers, donation would be appreciated for beautification projects for the City of Cameron. A family graveside service will take place in the Cameron Memory Gardens.
