Mary M. Burnett 1923 - 2015

PLATTE CITY - Mary Mildred Burnett, 92, Platte City, Mo., formerly of Cameron, passed away on September 19, 2015.

Mary was born on April 5, 1923 in Cainsville, Missouri to Claude William and Lesta Nina (Price) Bain.

Mary married Orville V. Burnett on July 21, 1940. They had two children.

Mary worked at the Caldwell County Court House as Deputy Treasurer of Canyon County in Caldwell, Idaho. She worked for the General Insurance Company in Seattle, Washington. She was a teller for Bank of America in Shafter, California and was a homemaker.

She attended the Community of Christ Church in Smithville, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, C.W. Bain, Jr.

Survivors: daughter, Bonnie Diven, Platte City, Mo.; son C.S. (Diane) Burnett, Trenton, Georgia; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

Services: 2 p.m., Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron. Visitation: 1-2 p.m., prior to the service.

Burial: Mirabile Cemetery, Mirabile, Mo.
