Patricia F Joyce 1931-2017

Cameron - Patricia Faye Joyce, 85, passed away October 22,2017 at Sunset Nursing Home, Maysville. She was born Dec 17, 1931 to Roy and Stella Russell (Chadbourn) in Winona, Minn.  Her family moved to Beloit, Wis. in 1941. Pat attended Beloit High School, graduating in 1949.  She met William E Joyce in Beloit at the local skating rink. They were married on June 30, 1950 in Dixon, Ill.  In 1953 Mom and Dad moved to Fla. where they started their family in Jacksonville. Gary W Joyce was born in 1954. In 1960 after moving to Tampa, Jeffrey P Joyce was born, and Judith L Joyce was adopted in July 1962 at age eight months.  Mom loved being Church Secretary, housewife, Dad’s Secretary at the Bank, and traveling.  In 1977 they moved to Wisconsin briefly, then Chicago in 1978 where Mom worked for Citibank in the Sears Tower on the 77th floor. In 1980, they moved to Liberal, Kan. where Dad and Mom both went to work for Citizen’s State Bank.  In 1982, they moved back to Fla., living in Merritt Island, Cocoa, Bonita Springs and finally retiring in Johnson City, Tenn. in 2002. In 2007, they moved to their final home in Taylors, S.C. After Dad’s passing in 2012, Pat moved to Missouri in 2015 to spend her remaining life near her daughter Judy Hardin.

In Taylors, S.C. they were members of Bethel Calvary Baptist Church. They enjoyed the company of many relatives, church functions, family gatherings, and just plain retirement.  Mother loved the Lord with all her heart and wasn’t afraid to tell others of her Salvation.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Judy L Hardin (Randy), Maysville. One sister, Irene Laube, Seattle, Wash., one brother, Russell Chadbourn, McKinney, Texas, five granddaughters, eight great grandsons, and one great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Stella Chadbourn, an infant daughter Faye, two sisters, Margaret Brunsell and Joyce Miller, two sons, Gary W Joyce and Jeffrey P Joyce and her husband William E Joyce.

Memorial Services will be held Friday, October 27, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Bible Baptist Church, 515 S Elm, Cameron, MO 64429.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be sent to Bible Baptist Church of Cameron, MO.
