Robert E. Flinn 1947-2018
Cameron - Robert E. Flinn, 70, passed away on April 23, 2018.
Robert was born on July 25, 1947 in Perry, Iowa to Robert and Phyllis (Todd) Flinn. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Flinn.
Robert was a veteran of the United States Army, during the Vietnam.
He enjoyed spending his days on the golf course, fishing, and being outdoors. He was very active in the VFW and the American Legion in Cameron. He was employed with Orscheln and did pest control for many years with Mefford Pest Control and most recently Gimson Pest Control. He also worked at Walmart for 10 years.
Survivors include children, Shelly (Shawn) Haley, Milford, Iowa, Eric (Nichole) Flinn, Churdan, Iowa and Angie Flinn (Dan Hoffman), Carroll, Iowa; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Jack (Perjo) Flinn, Tulsa, Okla. and a sister residing in Minn.; many nieces and nephews; his closest friends, Jeff Miles, Charlie Miles, Jimmy Gordan and Bill Gimson.
Memorial Services will be held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron. Memorial Donations: Missouri Veteran’s Home Assistance League, Cameron. Inurnment will be held at 12:30 p.m., Friday, July 13, 2018 at Iowa’s Veteran Cemetery, Van Meter, Iowa. Arrangements: Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron.
