Sorn P. Andersen 1927-2016

Cameron - Sorn Pascol Andersen, 88, Cameron passed away on July 6, 2016 at Liberty Hospital.

Sorn was born on October 8, 1927 in Adair, Iowa to Sorn C. and Era (Turner) Andersen.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Janis.

Sorn was a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Cameron and the Heavy Equipment Operators Local #101, Kansas City. He enjoyed farming the last 45 years and loved to travel.

Sorn was a veteran of the United States Navy.

Survivors: 2 daughters, Cathy Burns, Edwardsville, Kan. and Laura (Bill) Perry, Holt; son, Carl Andersen, Cameron and dedicated companion, Lois Kneller of the home; 6 grandchildren, Angela Blake, Dale Burns, Andrew Burns, Jeff Burns, Zach Perry, Samantha Perry Slawson; 7 great-grandchildren.

Memorial Service: 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Cameron. Visitation: 6-8:00 PM, Friday at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron. Inurnment: Evergreen Cemetery, Cameron. Memorial Fund: Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Cameron.
