Wanda Butler 1939-2021

Wanda Butler (Fanning), 82, of Lawson, Mo, entered into the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ on September 3, 2021.

Wanda was born on July 7, 1939 to Orla D Fanning and Arietta N Fanning (Bozarth) in Cameron, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Orla and Arietta; brothers, Donnie Fanning and Chuck Fanning; and her twin sister, Sondra Nally (Joe).

Mom worked several jobs throughout her whole life to provide for her family. These are just some of the jobs she worked. She worked at South Western Bell, downtown Kansas City, for about 9 years where she was a switchboard operator. She also worked at Ford Motor Company for years, and North Kansas City Hospital for years, where she finally retired.

Mom was all about family and her faith in her Lord Jesus. She enjoyed family gatherings on holidays, birthdays and get togethers through her life and would always give thanks to her Lord. She would spend countless hours with her twin sister, Sondra. They would spend the night at each other’s houses and go to garage sales and shop together all the time.

Wanda is survived by all her children: Tommy Flowers (Stacey), Timmy Flowers, Denise Hart (Jeff), Melinda Winfrey (James), Melissa Roberson (Glen); and 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Wanda was cremated and a private family service will be held.
