William Branam

William “Bill” Thomas Branam, 90, Hamilton, MO, passed away on December 3, 2019 in Hamilton.  Bill was born on September 17, 1929 in Bucklin, MO, to Charles Franklin and Opal Jan (Davenport) Branam.  He graduated from the Gallatin, MO, high school.  Bill then honorably served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict from 1951 – 1953. Bill worked for 42 years in shoe manufacturing.  He worked for 17 years with International Shoe Company and then he worked for Stride Rite Shoe Company for 25 years as the plant superintendent. Bill was a member of the Hamilton American Legion Post #285 for 65 years, the Masonic Lodge for 64 years, and was an active member of the Hamilton Golf Course.  He loved to golf, play cards, fish, and especially keep-track of his two grandsons who were his world.  Bill was married to Betty Louise Magathan for 51 years and she preceded him in death in 2001.He was also preceded in death by his parents, brother-Bob Branam, and sister-Doris McFee. Survivors:  daughters-Anita Branam, Liberty, MO, and Susan (Brent) Henry, Cameron: grandsons-Seth Henry, Cameron, and Blake (Kaylie) Henry, Cameron; great-granddaughter-Harper Henry, Cameron; favorite cousin-Kay Folger, Topeka, KS; brother-in-law-Don Magathan; nieces-Cathy Cooper, Barbara Yarbrough and Robin Branam; and nephew-Dan Bridgeman.  Funeral Service:  10 a.m., Saturday, December 7, 2019, at Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton.Visitation:  6:30-8 p.m., Friday, December 6, at Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton. Interment:  Mt. Ayr Cemetery, Altamont, MO. Memorials:  The American Cancer Society or the Caldwell County Cancer Assistance Fund (CCFCAF). Arrangements:  Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton.
