I’ve been washing my hands so much I’ve discovered a night club stamp from 25 years ago.

I had planned to write this week about the bowling exploits of Bill Gimson, but the Word application on my computer is balking. Maybe next week.

Quarantine  has turned us all into dogs. We roam the house all day looking for food. We are told “no” if we get too close to strangers … and we get really excited about car rides.

I feel like I’m 16 again. Gas is cheap and I’m grounded.

We are all getting a lot more time in front of the TV. Hallmark is drowning us in Christmas movies. The channel produced 40 holiday movies this year with an average budget of $2 million. The ad revenue for Hallmark in 2018 was $600 million.

Some $9 billion has been raised on the charitable crowdfunding site GoFundMe through donations in the past ten years. This year a fund raiser was started every eight seconds. 

This is normally tax time. About 400 of America’s largest corporations paid an average tax rate of 11.3 percent on their profits last year, roughly half the rate established under the 2017 tax law. Ninety-one Fortune 500 companies paid no federal tax at all.

Turvo, a Silicon Valley software startup, fired it CEO after he expensed $76,120 at strip clubs over a three-year span, representing more than half the company’s $125,000 in entertainment expenditures.
