Benton rolls to win over Lady Dragons

The Benton Cardinals led 20-2 after the first period and defeated the Cameron Lady Dragons, 62-7, in an MEC contest Monday night at CHS.

The Cardinals, ranked second in Class 4 in the latest Missouri Basketball Coaches Association poll, held a 37-7 lead at the half.

Olivia Nelson scored three points for Cameron and Eastin McDowell and Haley Evans had two points each.

Tamia Stillman led Benton with 14 points.

The Lady Dragons return to action Friday when they travel to St. Joseph to face Lafayette.
