CHS duo drops first match at state tennis

The Cameron girls tennis doubles team of Morgan Choate and Taylor Richardson lost their first round match at the MSHSAA Class 1 State Championship in Springfield Friday morning.

Kiki Peters and Maddy Duncan of John Burroughs won the match, 6-0, 6-1.

Choate and Richardson will next take on Erica Reynolds and Macy Hall of Bolivar in a doubles consolation match later today.

Reynolds and Hall lost their first round match to a team from Kirksville, 6-2, 5-7, 2-6.
