Lady Dragons blast South Harrison
Moriah Rogers had four hits and drove in five runs as the Cameron Lady Dragons blanked South Harrison, 14-0, in softball action at Bethany Thursday.
Makayla Lee had three hits and four RBI and Madison Goble and Brittany Seitz added two hits apiece.
Starting pitcher Olivia Nelson and Rogers combined on a two-hitter. Nelson went three innings and allowed one hit with nine strikeouts to get the win.
CHS improves to 2-1 with the win.
Lawson hands volleyball first loss
Lawson defeated Cameron, 2-0, in volleyball action at the CHS gym Thursday night.
Games scores were 25-23 and 25-17.
Eastin McDowell, Paige Harper and Kennedy King each had three kills, Maddie Garr and Emily Ramsey had five assists each and Alex Ewald had 18 digs for the Lady Dragons.
CHS is 1-1 for the season.
Tennis
St. Pius X wins tennis match
The Cameron girl’s tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to St. Pius X at the Recreation Park courts Thursday.
Morgan Choate won the number one singles match against Kaitlyn Pittala, 9-7, and combined with Taylor Richardson to win the number one doubles match, 8-3 over Pittala and Erin Balint for CHS.
The Lady Dragons are 1-2 for the season.
