Volleyball gains first MEC win

The Cameron volleyball team registered its first MEC win of the season with a 2-1 victory at Maryville Thursday.

Maryville won the first game 25-18 and the Lady Dragons came back to win the next two, 25-23 and 25-22.

Eastin McDowell and Kennedy King had six kills each. Maddie Garr had 11 assists. Kaylea Gunn had 21 digs and King had four blocks.

 

Golfers 11th at Chillicothe Invitational

The Cameron girls golf team finished in 11th place at the Chillicothe Invitational Thursday.

CHS had a team score of 521.

Abby Ourth led the way for the Lady Dragons with a 119. Annie Eaton shot a 127. Christiana Henley came in with a 136 and Hannah Brown carded a 139.

Sam Cornelius of Hamilton was medalist with an 83.

 

Softball rally falls short

The Cameron softball team lost a 14-13 MEC contest to Lafayette at Park Valley Field Thursday.

CHS scored eight runs in the bottom of the seventh before Lafayette got the final out to end the game.

 

Soccer falls at Excelsior Springs

The Cameron boy’s soccer team lost at Excelsior Springs, 7-1, Thursday.

Andrew Pratt scored the lone goal for the Dragons.
