Cross Country state results

Five members of the Cameron cross country team competed in the MSHSAA state championships in Jefferson City Saturday.

In the Class 3 boy’s race, Sam Evans finished in 38th place with a time of 17:30.37 while Jacob Barbee placed 151st in 19:41.29. Ben Naeger of Ste. Genevieve won the race in 15:34.56.

In the Class 3 girl’s race, Nicole Jackson came in 69th place in 21:26.88, Kenzie Terhune was 138th in 23:27.27 and Abigail Robinson finished in 141st with a time of 23:29.33. Winning the girl’s race was Taylor Werner of Ste. Genevieve in 17:14.22.

In the Class 1 girl’s race, Abby Snow of Osborn came in 106th place in 24:38.00. The state champion was Claire Workman of The Summit Preparatory School of Springfield with a time of 19:21.80.

In the Class 1 boy’s race, Dallas Peaslee of Osborn was 85th in 19:21.25 and Austin Rhoades of Winston finished in 102nd in 19:36.18. Riley Gorham of Hardin-Central won the race in 16:43.37.
