Dragons fall in OT to Brookfield

The Brookfield Bulldogs came back from a double-digit deficit and defeated the Cameron Dragons, 54-52, in overtime at the Husker Classic in Higginsville Wednesday night.

CHS held a 24-17 lead at the half when the Bulldogs rallied to take a 36-34 lead going into the fourth quarter.

The Dragons came back and held a three point lead with a minute to go, but Brookfield came back and tied the game at 47-all to force overtime.

A three-point bucket by Kyler Hill gave the Dragons a 52-50 lead before the Bulldogs made four free throws to get the win.

Andrew Pratt was the scoring leader for CHS with 14 points. Hill and Jaxson Frazier had 12 points apiece. Parker Whitacre added ten and Zeke Zeikle scored four points.

Troy Magnuson led Brookfield with 14 points.

The Dragons, now 1-4 for the season, will play either Oak Grove or Lexington in the seventh place contest on Friday night at 6 p.m.
