Dragons season comes to a close with loss at Chillicothe
The 2015 football season came to an end for the Cameron Dragons on Friday following a 42-0 loss at Chillicothe in the first round of the Class 3 District 8 playoffs.
The Dragons end their campaign at 1-9 while the Hornets improve to 7-3.
Chillicothe took the lead in the first quarter on a one-yard run by RB Kyle Ross to cap a 71-yard drive.
Ross scored again on a four-yard run for a 13-0 lead early in the second quarter.
RB Aaron Baker went into the end zone on a nine-yard run and then Dean Adkins scored from four yards out and a two-point conversion run by QB Cade Snyder gave the Hornets a 27-0 lead at the half.
Ross scored his third TD of the game from 19 yards out on Chillicothe’s first possession of the second half and Baker finished the scoring for the Hornets with a 62-yard dash to the end zone with 3:22 to go in the third quarter.
It was the final game for CHS seniors Logan Cantwell, Devin France, Justin Gans, Colby Gerber, Tyler Gerber, Tanner Gordon, Jacob Hutton, Levi Marlay, and Sam Pratt.
