Falcons soar past Dragons

Van Horn took an early lead and went on to post a 65-38 victory over the Cameron Dragons in the semifinals of the Bill Burns Classic in Lathrop Thursday night.

The Falcons led 11-5 after the first quarter and 27-13 at the half

Kyler Hill led CHS with eight points. Andrew Pratt, Tristan Michaelis and Nate Triplett scored six points apiece. Sam Morrison and Jaxson Frazier had five points each and Dre Dickerson scored two points.

Pratt left the game when he suffered a broken nose and also had five stitches above his eye.

The leading scorer for Van Horn was Samila Sua with 17 points.

The Dragons will take on Lathrop in the third place game Saturday. Tip-off is 11 a.m. The Mules lost to Braymer, 54-48.
