Huskers roll over Dragons

Higginsville posted a 56-23 victory over the Cameron Dragons in the first round of the Cameron Boys Invitational Tuesday night at the CHS gym.
The Dragons took an early lead, but the Huskers rallied to go up 15-11 after the first quarter and stretched their advantage to 25-16 at the half.
Parker McGinnis led CHS with seven points. Andrew Pratt added six. Sam Morrison and Nate Triplett scored three points each and Jaxson Frazier and Dre Dickerson had two points apiece.
Tucker Wegener scored 19 points and Malcom Elmore added 10 for Higginsville.
The Dragons will take on Lawson Thursday at 4 p.m. in the consolation semifinal. The Cardinals dropped a 41-38 decision to Chillicothe.
