Lady Dragons drop season opener to Macon

Macon got out to a 20-6 lead after the first period and went on to a 56-21 victory over the Cameron Lady Dragons in the 2015-2016 basketball season opener Tuesday night at the CHS gym.

The Tigerettes held a 38-11 lead at the half.

Eastin McDowell was the scoring leader for CHS with nine points. Mallory Bashor added four points. Sydney Nichols scored three. Hannah Robinson and Paige Harper had two points apiece and Olivia Nelson scored one point.

Cassie Martin led Macon with 16 points and Chalee Britt added 12.

The Lady Dragons return to action Dec. 1 when they host Pattonsburg.
