Maryville downs Lady Dragons

Maryville pulled away in the second quarter and posted a 44-20 victory over the Cameron Lady Dragons in the consolation round of the Cameron Girls Invitational Tournament Wednesday night.
The Lady Hounds held a 12-8 lead at the end of the first quarter and stretched their lead to 21-12 at the half.
Eastin McDowell led CHS with 14 points. Haley Evans scored three. Paige Harper had two points and Olivia Nelson added one point.
Abbie Greeley had 10 points to lead Maryville and Megan Worthington added nine.
Cameron will face Excelsior Springs in the seventh place game Friday at 5:30 p.m. The Lady Tigers lost to Higginsville, 40-30.
