Mules down Dragons in third place contest
Lathrop took home the third place trophy with a 71-58 win over the Cameron Dragons at the Bill Burns Classic in Lathrop Saturday.
The Mules led 15-8 at the end of the first quarter and expanded their lead to 38-25 at the half.
Kyler Hill scored a career-high 23 points to pace the Dragons. Dre Dickerson scored 16. Jaxson Frazier and Nate Triplett scored six points each. Sam Morrison added five and Parker McGinnis had two points.
Brock Lewis and Conner Vanderkooi scored 20 points each for Lathrop.
The Dragons, now 4-10 for the season, are idle until Jan. 22 when they travel to St. Joseph to take on Bishop LeBlond.
